Wonderful product from Japan! Arimino Spice Water Shining Straight is a
light cream that can be used on dry, damaged hair to smooth frizziness
and soften. Many people use it in conjunction with straightening methods
(flat iron, blow dryer, etc) as its name implies, but I just leave my
hair in its natural wavy/curly texture.
Shining Straight is not
sticky or heavy like some silicone defrizzers are. It can be applied on
wet or dry hair and doesn't build up or weigh down. Spice hair style product has a light
scent that doesn't provoke my allergies.
Very few salons in the US carry it, but you can find it online. I plan to repurchase at http://www.vjpeace.com/

A Touch Of Romance
Valentine's Day is the most romantic day of the year. Whether you are
spending the evening at home with your sweetie or heading out on the
town, you will look and feel gorgeous with one of these romantic
hairstyles.
To create a messy updo, begin by towel drying your hair and then spray it with peace's chocolate spray. Using a paddle brush, separate and blowdry your hair. Neospray would work too.
Place a dollop of mousse into your hand and then work it through the hair in the back to create volume and texture.
Pull the majority of your hair into a high ponytail on the back of your head and secure with an elastic band. Be sure to leave some strands loose to frame your face.
Next, separate your ponytail into three or four sections. Then you need to bring each section down, folding it over and into the base of your ponytail, securing with bobby pins or another elastic band.
Messy updo
One of the most popular hairstyles for special occasions is the messy updo. Instead of a perfectly coiffed style, this one is a bit messy and a lot sexy. It's ideal for a romantic night out on Valentine's Day. This style works for shoulder-length hair that is straight, wavy or curly. To create a messy updo, begin by towel drying your hair and then spray it with peace's chocolate spray. Mousse or Gel? Volumizer or styling spray? Confused by the array of hair care products?
Selecting a hair care styling product can be a 30 minute event. There are so many types of products each meeting a specific hair care need. How many hair care styling products are in your bathroom?
Did you know that the overuse of hair care products can weigh your hair down and leave it to oily or dry and brittle? Well hopefully this summary will help you sort out the differences in hair care products and help you select the right product for your hair.
Hair mousse: also know as shaping foam, it is good for loose natural hairstyles. Mousse is lightweight can be applied to the roots for volume and lift. Because mousse is lightweight it offers modest control and leaves hair soft and flowing and not crunchy or sticky. To apply mousse, dispense a golf-ball size into your hands and work it through damp hair from roots to ends. Additionally, you can use as a spot treatment for an unruly area such as a cowlick. Try Spice Neo Foams
Gel: also comes in spray form and has different degrees of hold, from firm to soft. Gel is good for making short hair more manageable, and/or taming curls that tend to frizz. Gel can also be applied to create a wet look or slicked back look such as in a pony tail. Gel gives more hold than mousse but not as much hold as hairspray. To use gel, apply a nickel-size amount in your hands and work through damp hair. Allow your hair to air dry or blow dry. Gel is not necessarily recommended for fine hair as it tends to flatten it. Also, gel is not recommended for long hair because if the product is not thoroughly worked into the hair it can leave hair sticky and stiff. A nice product! Spice Gel!
Hairspray: probably the first of hair care products, next to shampoo and conditioner. Also known as texturizing sprays, finishing spray, mist or spritz, and comes in a varying degree of hold. Hairspray is best used for fine hair or medium-thick hair that needs a little volume. Hairspray is also useful for a styled look to keep hair in place. To apply hairspray, hold the bottle at arm's length and spray hair. Hairspray is not recommended for curly or frizzy and/or dry hair as it can make it feel more dry and crunchy.
Styling Spray: also known as sculpting or styling spray, volumizing lotion, and blow-dry styling spray. Anyone that blows dries their hair needs a protectent. Fine to medium hair benefits the most from a body boosting styling spray. Styling sprays can protect hair from heat, smooth down or boost up flat hair, depending on the formula of the styling spray. To use, comb styling spray through hair from roots to ends before blow drying. Styling sprays will not do much for styling curls. If you are air drying this type of styling sprays will leave hair crunchy and stiff.
Pomade: also known as balm, clay, mud, paste, and hair wax. There are water based and oil based pomades. Fine ore medium textured hair responds well to water-based products as it does not weigh them down. Coarse and thick textured hair responds well to oil-based pomade for its taming properties, although oil-based pomades will attract dirt. Some pomade has light deflecting properties which will give dull hair shine. Additionally while some pomade will hold hair in place others will leave a greasy look. To use, apply a pea-sized amount to your hands until it disappears and apply from mid-shaft of hair to ends. If you have not let the pomade disappear from your hands then it will go on leaving clumps in your hair.
Gloss: also known as shine, finishing polish, shine spray and silicone drops. Dry, dull and damaged hair responds well to a gloss and so does curly and medium-to coarse hair. The silicone coats the hair shaft and smoothes out the roughness on the shafts making the hair reflect light. A shine adds moisturizer to your hair without making it look greasy and oily. To smooth finished hair rub to or three drops or one spray from a spray gloss, and run your hands over the top of the hair. If gloss is not used sparingly, it can make hair limp and oily looking, especially on fine hair.
Summary:
Curly and/or coarse hair should use a gel or lotion to smooth out, tame, eliminate frizz and hold the final style. The final product should be a promenade or gloss to add shine.
Fine or limp hair needs products with polymers such as a volumizing mousse to plump up hair shafts and allow styling. A light gel or hairspray should be the final touch.

24H Finishing Spray!
I've tried so many hair products and hair sprays. Spice Neo from Japan seems to
make the best hair products (definitely in that price range, and
otherwise too!).
Does
not make hair sticky. Great for fine, wavy/curly hair. Keeps frizz
down. Doesn't mattify. I can't say enough good things about this. The mousse also works great. I'm just so happy that I bought these
products.... finally something that makes me love my hair!!!
This form is best to express texture & ridgy with soft elasticity, not being crispy! It can create volume up with soft elastic finish, and adjust piecy level depends on amount of use. And it will moisturize the damaged tips. White peach Fragrance. 7 types of fruits essences give amazing moisturizing.

Styling Your Hair with: Mousse
1. MOUSSE
Mousse can be intimidating because it’s a whole lot of foam when you first get it going, but if you know what mousse can be good for, it’s surprisingly versatile. You can maintain most hairstyles on a daily basis without too much buildup, and best of all, mid-day styling touches ups are incredibly easy.
How to Use It
1. Shake the mousse bottle and hold it vertically to dispense product in your palm. Aim for a small amount, because a little mousse will go far. If it looks like an egg, you’re set. Anything else and you’ll be shocked at how greasy and flat things can get.
2. Stroke the mousse through your hair, and “swipe” your hands through to make sure you’ve applied it evenly.
3. If you love to blow dry your hair, then mousse is key. You can get great hold if you use mousse and then dry it, and you can still use it regularly without weighing your hair down too much.
What Styles Does It Suit? Mousse is perfect if you want to boost thinning hair and get natural volume and body. Lucky for you, you can find a mousse that suits your hair type– it’s not just for the seriously curly anymore! Thin, dry, thick, coarse. . . you name it, a formula is available to boost your style.
Why You’ll Love It: You can restyle moussed hair throughout the day without making your hair overly sticky. All you need to do is add a spritz of water and you’re set. Style away!
Tips
• Volume is best achieved by adding your mousse primarily to the roots. You’ll get extra “lift” if you work in the product with your head tilted over. Since mousse coats each strand lightly, it will come up off the scalp and make your hair look thinner.
• For maximum effect, take a look at what’s inside. Some products are designed for use with heat, while others are designed to be used on thinner or fine hair.
• Less is more! If you forget almost all your mousse use rules, this one is the most important to retain. (Unless you like sticky, greasy, or stiff hair, that is.) Egg or golf-ball size, please!
• Invest a little in your mousse. You’ll be able to tell the difference if you use it daily.

Frizz Free Curls
65% of people have curly hair and almost half of them do not realize it! Believe it or not, if you have frizz, you have curl pattern in your hair.
Here’s the deal: curls need moisture. People with curly or frizzy hair have an average of 100,000 hairs on their head. People with straight hair have about 120,000 hairs on their head. More hair means more hair follicles that produce natural oils to smooth down your hair. So, less hair can mean less moisture.
And then there’s a curl’s worst nightmare: humidity. If your hair is dry and has not been getting the proper moisture it will become thirsty and “drink” up the humidity outside.
So let’s talk about how to get that frizz under control…
Hands down, you have to use the right hair products like moisturizing shampoo and conditioners will benefit curly/frizzy hair because they do not contain harsh oil stripping detergents.
After you wash your hair, don’t wrap it in the towel turban. I know it might be a habit, but you need to leave the hair saturated to set the curl. Instead, spray a leave-in conditioner and finger through your hair.
Flip over your head over and generously apply a mist spray.
The best thing to do is let your hair air dry, but if you don’t have the time, use a diffuser to gently scrunch your curls dry. Once dry, flip your head upside down and use your hands to create volume by moving your fingers back and forth through out your scalp.
Only wash your hair every other day to allow the oils to smooth down your cuticle. On the non-washing days, use a scrunching spray to reactivate the products in the morning to refresh.

Think Swingy, Not Stiff
The stiffer you make your hair with wafts of hair spray or globs of gel, the older you look. The number one way to avoid grandmotherly "helmet hair" is to stop overusing products, For a softer, more natural look, don't overapply spray directly to the hair. "[Position the bottle] far away from your hair, and mist hair for a light hold that doesn't look crunchy,"
You can also swap your extra hold hair spray for a lighter formula — we like Spice Shower Wax hair spray. If your hair is curly, avoid weighing it down with sticky gels. "This gives you that hard and crunchy look that we want to stay away from,"
I recommends choosing a cream-based product or very lightweight mousse. To give your hair movement when styling at home, avoid curling it under with a round brush while drying, and try blow-drying hair away from your face. If you want to achieve volume, use Velcro rollers to create height without overcurling the ends. "If you have bangs, do not round-brush your bangs!" —that style makes you look dated.
Have a wonderful day!
