The Benefit of Salon Products

A shampoo is just a shampoo. Or is it? All shampoos work the same way; they all clean your hair. Or do they? What is the difference between professional salon products and generic brands sold at your grocery store and Wal-Mart? Is there one? Some will say ‘No’, but yes, there is a difference.

Professional vs. Store Bought Hair Products

Have you ever gone to a salon and purchased a bottle of shampoo and conditioner, taken it home and tried the shampoo? The shampoo will typically lather up very quickly and will require a lot less. This is because the ingredients used in the professional products are typically of higher quality and have gentler surfactants (type of soap used in shampoo). Professional products want to give you an experience! The creators of the products want you to use their shampoo and feel luxurious, to notice the smell, and to see a difference in your final outcome. They want you to use their product and notice a difference. And in this process, the quality of ingredients used is higher than those sold in general hair care.

It use to be that professional products were the only ones that catered to curly hair, straight hair, damaged hair and ‘I need more volume’ hair. But now there are numerous generic brands that have been expanding their lines to cater to the different types of hair. You can even find shampoo for Blondes, Brunettes and even Red heads. But what is the quality of the bargain shampoo?

Professional Products Sold In Places Other Than Salons

You may have been shopping in your grocery store or Target and noticed professional products that are being sold on their shelves. These products have landed on the shelves due to what is called diversion. Diversion is when the product is sold through another source outside its intended channel for distribution. You may have read on the back of a bottle of professional shampoo, ‘Only guaranteed if sold in a salon.” If bought elsewhere, you as a consumers may be getting a product that has been tampered with. Also, a lot of these products are old. I’ve seen discontinued products that were sold in stores 3 years after the product had been discontinued. Hair products have a shelf life of about 1 year. Buying from these stores may save you a couple cents, but you have no idea what else you are putting on your hair. So buyer beware; it’s safer to buy professional salon products in a salon.

It’s Really Up To You

Deciding to use professional products over the generic product is clearly up to you and your checkbook. One way to see if you notice the difference is to buy a bottle of shampoo and conditional from a salon and use it for 3-4 weeks. Notice the way your hair feels and looks. Then go back to your generic brand and see if you notice the difference.  I am positive you will!

Clients ask me everyday what hair products are best for there hair to give it volume,  lift, hold a curl, or not have frizz. The most important product you can use on your hair starts with your shampoo.  It is the foundation for healthy shiny hair. So make the investment in quality shampoo! I would recommend Arimino hair shampoo. This is one of the best Japan hair products.

peace/ caretrico hair products

Best Hair Products

My favorite shampoos, flat irons, curling irons, flat hair fixes & more.

Here we will introduce all the best hair products on the market. Whether you have dry hair, fine hair or super curly hair, you'll find all you need from VJpeace.

Dry, damaged hair tends to be coarse and sometimes curly. The secret to adding moisture to dry or damaged hair is deep conditioning. Try products rich in vitamins that are cream-based. Here, we rundown the best products on the market!

Caretrico Hairmask Type-EX

Ultra-rich and packed with moisturizing proteins, Caretrico hair mask is known to give salon results. The deep conditioner detangles quickly, softens and won't weigh hair down. A must for coarse, dry hair. Apply a quarter-size amount to hair, comb through from roots to ends and let it sit for 5 minutes while you shave or finish your shower. Even better, put a shower cap over the combed-in conditioner and leave for 20 minutes.  Blast your cap with a blowdryer. Heat helps the product work faster on hair. Use this after every shampoo and you'll notice immediate results. And remember: dry hair should not be washed often. I suggest once a week and no more than twice a week.

I will fine more peace products from http://www.vjpeace.com/

How to take care of your damaged hair

Do you have unmanageable damaged hair? This article will tell you how to tame and take care of your damaged hair.

  1. Take a deep breath. Think positive and stay confident. Keep in mind that this process of restoring your hair might take a while, but you are off to a great start, and when you're finished, the results will be beautiful!
  2. Wash your hair well. Wash your hair every other day. Always use more conditioner than shampoo. Put the shampoo in as you normally do, but remember, not that much, and don't pile it on top of your head as this can cause damage. Then, put the conditioner in, mainly focus on the ends and towards the center of the hair if you have straight or wavy hair. If you have curly hair apply the conditioner to the whole length. Scrub your scalp well with your fingertips. The top of the hair is the part you need to be the least worried about.
  3. Leave the conditioner in for 5-15 minutes. You can leave the water on, just don't let it touch your hair for that time. During the wait, you can shave, listen to the radio, or wash your body. After the approximate time is over, brush through your hair with the conditioner in. Then thoroughly rinse the conditioner out.
  4. Bend down and let your hair dangle upside down and put a towel over your hair and gently squeeze or scrunch out the excessive water. Drying too roughly can damage the hair. After you towel dry it, put in a nickel sized amount of anti-frizz/anti-dry products. (Use more for curly or kinky hair.) If you don't have any products for frizz or dryness, just put a little bit of conditioner in your hair. If you have oily or greasy hair, just skip that step, or use a dime sized amount instead.
  5. Brush your hair with a comb, or a brush with gentle bristles. If you have naturally curly or wavy hair, use mousse, or styling gel while it's wet. Be gentle and work on tangles instead of ripping through them. If you took your shower in the morning, putting it into a ponytail or braid is a good option. If you're getting ready to go to bed, put it up in some fashion so moving in your sleep doesn't cause damage. Braids and a sleep cap can be helpful to preserve the hair, or a high ponytail.
  6. Let your hair naturally air dry.
  7. Repeat these steps for everyday that you shower, and you should start to see an improvement in your damaged hair.
  8. Use marbling hair treatments of Arimino hair care products. your hair. The protein will help rebuild the hair's natural keratin and other deep treatments help the hair retain moisture, especially if your hair is coarse or curly.
  9. Avoid using chemicals and heat on your hair. Likely, this is how your hair got damaged in the first place. Avoid too much hair dye, chemical relaxers or straighteners. Look into natural hair dyes like henna for red hair, indigo for black hair, and lemon juice or other citrus for some natural lightening.
    • When you go swimming saturate your hair with conditioner before hand, and cleanse well afterward. A swim cap will also help.
  10. Protect your hair from the sun. You can use a hat or a bandanna while you're outside for long periods of time. Or you can apply a styling product with a sunscreen ingredient such as benzophenone.
  11. Try not to let your hair get caught in things throughout the day and use friendly hair accessories that don't tangle easily in the hair.
  12. Wear your hair in protective styles like rolls and braids so that it becomes less tangled and is exposed less to the elements. Make use of hats if you're having a particularly bad hair day, and if you just can't stand your damaged hair, you can acquire a natural looking wig.

A Front Top Cowlick Hairstyle

Cowlick is an area of hair that fails to grow in the same direction as the rest of the hair. With a cowlick hairstyle your hair sticks out, or lies to the side, so that it is not flat like the rest of your hair. This can be a bother since you can find it a challenge to style. There are some corrective methods or styles you can use.

Instructions

    • 1
Calm your cowlick bangs. Grow your cowlicks long enough to give them weight. Wash your hair with Japanese shampoo to remove any chemicals or dirt it may have. Dry it with a brush, beginning with the cowlicks at your forehead. Apply pastes, pomades or Japanese hair hairspray to direct your hair. Stroke the brush in one direction five to 10 times with a round brush or a vent to weight down the frontal cowlicks. Switch and brush the hair in the opposite direction.
    • 2
Level your cowlicks. Cut your frontal hair, leaving a spot where the cowlick is a little longer. Wash it with shampoo and dry it with a blow dryer. Your hair will bounce back once it is dry. Direct the hair in the opposite direction of the way the cowlick grows out using a round brush. Blow dry your hair in that direction at close range. Spray your hair with hair spray to make it stay.
    • 3
Straighten your frontal hair. Level your hair with a hair straightener in the direction you want it to go. Apply a heat spray or conditioning spray to your hair to prevent it from being damaged by the heat of the straightener. Repeat this for five or seven days to completely tame your cowlicks to go in the direction of the rest of your hair.
    • 4
Style your hair with hot rollers. Wash your hair with shampoo. Pick a section of the cowlick with your fingers and comb it smooth. Spray it with hairspray. Twist the section and wrap it on the roller to give it a spiral look. Take out the rollers once they have cooled and spray your hair with a hairspray. Turn your head upside down and run your fingers through your hair.
    • 5
Turn your cowlick under. Wash your hair with shampoo. Dry your hair almost to 70 percent using a blow dryer. Finish drying your hair using a rounded vent brush or round brush. Spray the ends of your frontal hair with hairspray while the brush is in a turned under position in your cowlicks. Aim the blow dryer at your cowlicks for about 15 seconds. Allow your hair to cool for about five to 10 seconds and then remove the brush.
    • 6
Thin out the cowlick. Comb the cowlicks in different directions to determine the way they should go. Snip off some of the hair using a thinning shear to decrease the bulk of the cowlick closer to the scalp. Avoid texturizing or thinning out the cowlick too much since you have to keep it heavy to easily lay down. Blend it in with the rest of the hair by feathering it out using the shears.
    • 7
Cut the cowlicks shorter than the rest of your hair. Wash it with warm water and then dry it with a towel or a blow dryer. Apply hair gel, pastes, pomades or hairspray to direct your hair.

Hair products for men

No more bad hair days. Shampoos, gels and waxes to suit all of your hair care needs.

I’m not really much of a hair styler. Well, I haven’t been up until now! But I really love this product.  I love what it allows me to do with my hair. I’ve taken to styling my hair depending on my moods – what fun! With this Freeze wax  just about any style is possible and it lasts all day. All you need is a bit of imagination and you too can look like a male model or a movie star. What particularly impressed me was that it didn’t leave my hair dry and straw-like and it didn’t create a nasty build-up of sticky gunk on it either. Arimino products are sold exclusively at www.vjpeace.com

I would say that Japanese hair products are really outstanding!

How to Repair Bleach Damaged Hair

Pre-Washing

Using  Japanese shampoo and  treatments can help to infuse your hair with the moisture it needs to grow its longest.  The best treatment to use is Caretrico After Treatment Oil because it actually penetrates the hair unlinke most oils which only coat the hair. It should be applied treatment after washing. After applying, the hair should be covered with a plastic cap. Leave on hair for 5-15 minutes.

Washing

Your choice of shampoo is very important. Shampoos containing harsh sulfates strip the hair and should be avoided. The best type of shampoo to use is one gentle, moisturizing, and sulfate free. But at a minimum, your shampoo should not contain harsh sulfates. Check the ingredients list on your shampoo to find out if they are damaging.

Moisturizing Treatments

Using heat appliances and chemical processes remove moisture from your hair that needs to be replaced. If your hair feels dry, you need to replace lost moisture. Deep conditioning should always be done to the ends of the hair. If a deep conditioner is applied all over, it should be followed with a shampoo (not clarifying).

How often should you use a moisturizing treatment?
A regular light moisturizing treatment should be used following every shampoo (unless a pre-shampoo treatment is done). For very dry and damaged hair, a deep conditioner should be used once weekly. Also, if you use protein treatments often, you may need to deep condition (those that require a shower cap under a heated dryer)

How should the treatment be applied?
Shampoo, then apply the treatment (professional salon products) all over and cover with a shower cap. The treatment should be left in 20-60 minutes. For fine hair, the treatment should be rinsed, followed by a shampoo. For thicker hair, it is not necessary to use shampoo following the treatment.

How to Wash Wax From Hair

Wax is finding its way into more styling products today because of its ability to hold a style and add shine. Removing this wax can take a little extra effort to prevent build-up. Oops! Get candle wax in your hair? We’ve got a solution for that as well.

How to Wash Wax From Hair

Wax is finding its way into more styling products today because of its ability to hold a style and add shine. Removing this wax can take a little extra effort to prevent build-up. Oops! Get candle wax in your hair? We’ve got a solution for that as well.
Removing Styling Wax

You Will Need:

Steps to Wash Out the Wax:

  1. Begin by wetting the hair completely with warm water.
  2. Apply a caretrico conditioner and work it in with your hands. The conditioner will work to remove the wax.
  3. Rinse off the conditioner and apply a professional shampoo.
  4. Work the shampoo in with your fingers.
  5. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

Removing Candle Wax from Hair

You Will Need:
  • Paper towels
  • Hair dryer
  • Conditioner
  • Comb
  • Shampoo

Steps to Remove the Wax:

  1. If solid wax had gotten in your hair, it will need to be melted to be removed.
  2. Begin by wrapping the waxed section of the hair in paper towels.
  3. Use a hair dryer on high heat to heat the wax through the paper towel. As the wax melts, it will be absorbed by the paper towel.
  4. Remove the paper towel and replace with new, clean towels.
  5. Repeat until the wax is removed.
  6. If any wax remains, wet the hair with very warm water and apply a conditioner. The warm water will soften the wax, and the conditioner will lubricate the strands so it can be removed.
  7. Comb through the hair to remove the wax.
  8. Once removed, wash the hair with shampoo.

Additional Tips and Advice

  • Some hair waxes, such as hair relaxers, will need to be removed professionally. Talk to your hairdresser for removal options.
  • Some shampoos contain wax in them as well. Choose one that will remove the shampoo without adding more to your strands. Caretrico hair products is one brand that has been found to successfully remove wax for others.
  • For regular build up, a clarifying shampoo should do the trick.

If your hair is...wavy

1. In the shower: If your hair is thick, use the shampoo and conditioner recommended for curly hair. If it's fine, volumizing formulas—Like Arimino Caretrico Shampoo Type S and Arimino Caretrico Treatment Type S (Conditioner). These are hair salon products.

2. When hair is still damp: Wavy hair tends to be dry, so the outer layers can look fuzzy; a styling cream like SPICE NEO Natural Cream  controls flyaways.

3. Just before you leave the house: To block humidity (a preemptive strike against frizz), apply a SPICE NEO Serum Nuance. This Milk contains a Fresh Keratin, which provides elasticity repair in the hair. Best used on all lengths of hair, Nuance Serum helps to restore wave and curl in dry damaged hair. This is the best serum for curly hair.

Shampooing Your Hair

Say goodbye to "bad hair days" with the right shampoo. Learn what to look for in a shampoo and which shampoos are right for your specific hair type. Beautiful, healthy hair is just a shampoo away!

your hair frizzy and out of control? Maybe it has no body and will never hold a style. If you’re not happy with the way your hair looks, your shampoo could be the problem. Even if you love your current look, the right shampoo can cut down on those hours spent blowing, teasing, and spraying in front of the mirror each day.

Choose the right shampoo. One of the biggest mistakes women make is choosing a shampoo based on price or smell. There is a real science behind all the ingredients that go into your shampoo. You need to read shampoo labels to identify those formulated for your specific hair type. The companies that produce hair care products conduct intensive research to develop shampoos that will bring out the best in your hair. Using a product that is not made for your hair could result in damage, increased risk of breakage, and a very unhappy customer — you!

I would recommend  Caretrico Grace Blue Moist Bounce Shampoo which
contains an amino acid that rebuilds water retention in the matrix of the hair shaft, an area most affected by change. In addition Moist Bounce contains Amino Ceramide, a natural amino acid which rebuilds moisture in the matrix of dry hair.

If you must condition after your shampoo, apply Caretrico GraceBlue Moist Bounce Treatment
only to the middle and ends of your hair. And when you’re through, hands off! Avoid touching hair whenever possible and brush only when necessary

How to* Sexy Beach hair in the City

Salty, wavy, thick beach hair is super-sexy — and it doesn't have to be something that you only achieve in the summertime by the sand. Here's how to achieve this faboo tousled wind blown look during the rest of the year.

First, shampoo and condition your hair before bed and towel dry your hair. Evenly distribute either a mousse or product with hold to it, in even sections throughout your hair. If you have thick or wavy hair, apply a relaxing balm to smooth your curls and tame frizz. Comb through.
Next, scrunch your hair before you fall asleep and when you wake, your hair will have great texture and volume.
To fix the front, just wet and blow out the pieces that are funky. Then take a large sized curling iron and wrap about ten different pieces around it to give your hair some freshness, body and bounce.

For some products to help you achieve sexy beach hair

Styling Spray- Mist Moisture, was created by Arimino from Japan . It's what many women use nowadays. It contains vitamins A and E and  peanut based oil

When hair is already dry, apply a small amount onto your hands and scrunch your hair from the tips towards your roots. The more you use the stronger the effect. Then, continue to mold your hair until you are happy with the shape.

Need to Tame Frizzy Hair?

If you’ve got natural curls and waves, then chances are you often get frizz. Curly, coarse, wavy, and thick hair always scream for an extra dose of TLC. They do this (and you can tell they’re in dire need of attention) by becoming frizzy. In other cases, frizz is genetically determined. In places where heat is a force to deal with, it’s a by-product of humidity, pollution, and sun exposure.
In an attempt to tame the frizz some people tend to go to extremes such as altering the texture of the hair through rebonding or perming. This, ladies, isn’t going to be effective. Neither will ironing it flat and stick straight. The key is to get to the root of the problem.

Let’s take a look at how frizz happens:

You get frizzy hair because of the lack of moisture in your strands. Your hair the cuticles swell up in an attempt to  trap moisture in the environment, and this causes it to become unmanageable and frizzy. This happens when hair is dry, parched, and damaged mostly because of too much chemical exposure, frequent exposure to heat, and (sometimes) your heritage.

So what do you do about it?
First, you need to have an arsenal of moisturizing products. This means stocking up on intense moisturizing conditioners, masks, and coating treatment. You’ll also need serum for that quick after-bath treatment.
Second, you’ll need a regimen. Do not shampoo everyday as it washes away your hair’s natural oils along with the dirt and grime that you want to do away with. Instead, wash it a couple of days apart. Use a sulfate-free shampoo. Use a moisture rich conditioner every time you shampoo your hair to replenish the moisture that’s lost in the process of washing. Deep conditioning and intense moisturizing ones are great investments. As much as possible, go for products that target dry, frizzy hair.
Your hair will also benefit from using coating treatment  at least few times a month. All it takes is 10 minutes, so I’m sure you’ll be able to find time for that. If you’re willing to go the extra mile, deep moisturizing masks done every week will help bring back life and luster to your crowning glory.
After rinsing your hair from conditioners, masks, and hot oils, you might have developed the habit of rubbing or wrapping it with a towel to get it dry. This you must avoid. Wet hair is at its most vulnerable state. Instead, use a paper towel, an old shirt, or a super absorbent microfiber towel to pat the hair dry and gently squeeze out the extra moisture.

Lastly, when styling your hair, try to avoid heat as much as possible. If you absolutely must use a flat iron invest in a ceramic one to minimize the damage. It uses infrared ionic heat to prevent damage. The same principle applies when you’re on the hunt for a blow-dryer. Ionic dryers use the same kind of heat and compresses the cuticles thereby locking off moisture that will make your hair go haywire. Before subjecting your locks to heat, always remember to apply a hairstyling protections.
Love your hair the way it is. Your hair may be a handful when they’re dry and damaged, but once you infuse life to them, they’re such a pretty sight for all ladies

Ten Ways to Have Beautiful and Healthy Hair

1. Keep your hair clean, this is very important for beautiful hair. If your hair is not washed properly or you go for more than a day or two between washings your hair may get greasy and dirty and will not look healthy. Proper care begins with clean hair.

2. Eating as balanced diet is very important for your hair to look and be healthy. If you aren't getting the vitamins you need you hair isn't getting the vitamins it needs and may lead to hair loss or other problems.

3. Have your hair trimmed every three months. This will help cut down on split ends and uneven hair.

4. Be aware that coloring your hair may dry it out. The use of blow dryers, curling irons, and straight irons may also damage your hair. Let your hair air dry when you can. If you want highlights, the best and mildest way is to wash your hair, then apply lemon juice to your wet hair and go outside in the sun and let it air dry. Do this a few times for the desired effect you want.

6. If you use alot of styling gels, hairsprays ect, you need to make sure you get all of those products out of your hair. You could use a clarifying shampoo once a week or you could just add a tsp. of baking soda to your regular shampoo mix it in a small cup and use it that day. This will make your hair shinier also.

7. Do not vigorously rub your hair dry, this may damage it. Instead blot your hair with the towel and let air dry. If you have very long hair don't try to comb your hair while it's soaking wet, it's better to let it get at least half way dry so you don't cause split ends when combing it.

8. Put on a deep conditioning treatment once a week. This will keep your hair looking shiny, healthy and full of body.

9. Brush your hair before you go to bed. Especially if you have shoulder length hair or longer. The brushing will promote circulation. The best way to do this is to bend over with your head down and brush from the back to the front, this will also get rid of dirt particles, pollen and anything that might be in your hair. Brush at least sixty strokes or more.

10. Use detangler on your wet hair after shampooing  and a wide tooth comb instead of a brush. Brushing wet hair can cause breakage and damage your hair.

Use Arimino hair products from Japan, its just BEST!

Quick Fixes for Luscious Locks

Problem
A lack of volume is often down to hair's texture rather than its density. Too fine and too limp, it gets greasy quickly and is lacking in vitality.

Plan of attack
Cut it! The secret to obtaining volume is layering. It's ideal for long hair that doesn't have shape or fine hair that lacks tone. But avoid tapering which tends to deprive hair of its natural richness.

Volume requires effort... from the moment your alarm clock goes off! As soon as you wake up, run your fingers through your hair, lifting hair up at the roots and shaping it as you want it. Hair is still warm from sleeping and is easy to shape. Leave it any later and it will be too late, those unruly tufts of hair will be sticking up in all the wrong places!

Use specific haircare products like Arimino Hair Products that restructure hair by providing a healthy cocktail of vitamins, amino acids and keratin. Alternate between different types of gentle shampoo and avoid washing hair too often "which weighs hair down and greasy hair produces the opposite effect required for volume!"

When styling your hair, lift hair up at the roots using a round brush and a hairdryer with a moderate heat setting so as not to irritate your scalp. To reinforce and fix the style in place, use a volumising hairstyling product.

Expert tip
The secret: "At the end of the day, give your hair a massage. Not only is it relaxing and gets rid of the day's stress, it stimulates the hair bulbs and blood circulation in the scalp. Hair is healthier and has more body."

Caring for and styling dry hair

If your hair is dry, dull and breaks easily, it's often down to excess sebum, bad habits and lack of the right care. To help you rectify these problems, here’s how to care for and style dry hair.

What are the characteristics of dry hair?
The normal role of sebum is to hydrate the scalp. If you have dry hair, the sebum doesn't do its job properly, and this leads to itchiness and irritation.

The hair loses its elasticity, becomes dull, breaks and splits more easily because it's fragile.

What are the causes of dry hair?
dry hair has genetic origins, but it can just as well be caused by sun, wind, seawater and chlorine, as well as damage from hair curlers, straighteners, overbrushing, excessively hot drying, excessive dyeing, permanent color, strong detergent shampoo and the wrong products.

How do you take care of dry hair?
Use gentle nourishing shampoo specially designed for dry hair containing lots of nutrients.

As well as shampoo, use Caretrico`s conditioner and massage in with the tips of your fingers. For an additional toning effect, rinse your hair with cold water. Avoid hot water and hard water, which dries out your hair more.

Simple rituals to care for dry hair
- Massage with the tips of your fingers before rinsing
- Always rinse with cold water
- Towel dry your hair well to get rid of as much excess water as possible
- Dry your hair gently, with your hairdryer 15cm from your head and never blast the same section of hair for more than 15 seconds
- Rinse your hair with fresh water after going in the sea

Avoid
- Very hot water
- Blow-drying close to your roots
- Vigorous towel drying
- Hard water

Leave -in your hair for an hour, putting cling film and a hot towel over your hair. Do this once a week when your hair is particularly bad, and otherwise every 2 weeks.

Styling dry hair
To style your hair well without damaging it, be gentle, especially if your hair breaks easily. Leave-in conditioner helps keep your hair tangle-free and hydrates it.

Watch your diet
Our diet has an impact on the health of our hair. It’s important to nourish your locks by eating healthily!
Avoid saturated fat (from dried/cured meat, fast food and white bread) and eat lots of green veg and fresh fruit.
To take care of your hair, munch on almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and cereals.
An occasional course of nutritional supplements (for 3 months) can also help nourish and protect your hair from the inside. See our article on beauty superfoods here.
