Hair is the ultimate accessory and Shape shares a dozen beauty tips to keep yours in healthy beautiful condition.
your hair can add to (or detract from) your overall look instantly. Keeping it in
healthy condition is the most important thing you can do to help it
look and feel fabulous.
And, while it seems easy, this isn't as simple as minimizing chemical treatments or slathering on a weekly hair marbling treatment. While these can make your strands softer and less split-end-prone, what
really matters is the daily handling; this is what creates the most
stress -- and potential damage -- to your tresses.
To help your
locks look their best, we asked top experts from around the country for
their advice on how to baby your mane every single day. So whether your
concern is dullness, damage, frizz or fragility, we have the answers to
ease even the toughest hair-care woes. Read on for tips to achieve
run-your-fingers-through-it hair.
Deep condition once every two weeks. "These treatments penetrate the hair shaft and strengthen strands," says expert, who adds that using heat (from a
blow-dryer) can intensify deep conditioning, as the heat causes the
cuticle to open and the ingredients to penetrate. For nourishing
results, try Caretrico products.

Best Hairspray
You may not have been born with the hair you have always wanted, but
there are a few things you can do to alter your hair’s texture and mood.
Japanese hair Spray is the best way to finish off your look and keep it lasting
throughout the day and/or night. No one wants to carry hair spray out
with them so opt for a quality high performance formula that will not
leave you falling flat half way through the day. No matter what level of
hold you prefer or climate you live in, hair spray is your best weapon
to keep your hair protected and looking full of body while taming frizz
and warding off damage and dullness.
Best Firm Hold Hairspray
Firm hold hair spray is perfect for those stubborn hair types that either falls flat instantly, has issues with frizz or simply refuses to stay in place. Up-dos often need a little extra hold due to the gravity defying structure of the style. Fine hair often needs a firm hold, yet there are too many products that can weigh hair down. Stubborn curls that invest time in flat ironing or smoothing and taming unruly strands need reassurance that hair will stay strait or controlled all day and night. These products will not weigh down your hair, but will keep your style lasting through just about anything.
Peace Black Spray
This is truly an amazing hair spray. You get hair that still has movement and remains natural looking while the product locks out frizz and holds your style. Straight and/or fine hair types will love how bouncy and full of volume hair looks. Frizzy curly hair types will see and feel the difference this spray makes, while static and frizz is locked out- yet the style still remains.

This form is best to express texture & ridgy with soft elasticity, not being crispy! It can create volume up with soft elastic finish, and adjust piecy level depends on amount of use. And it will moisturize the damaged tips. White peach Fragrance. 7 types of fruits essences give amazing moisturizing.

A Common Winter Hair Problems Solved
Winter's harsh conditions can really wreak havoc on our hair-from frizz
to dry scalp to limp, windblown strands. Here are some common hair
problems solved, so you can sport healthy, luscious-looking locks even
during the most brutal of seasons!
Cold-Induced Frizz
Winter's dry, cold air and high amounts of static electricity causes hair to spread, twist, fly away, and (gasp!) frizz. You can tame tresses by investing in a professional shampoo and conditioner as well as a professional hair products to seal in moisture. Also, refrain from over-styling your hair with blow-dryers, curling irons, or flat irons, as too much artificial heat damages the cuticle and leads to more frizz.

Hair Serums
Smooth your way to frizz-free, glossy hair with serums
Not a conditioner, not a spray, hair serum has always been a bit of a mystery. You’d be forgiven for not knowing exactly how to use it. But this styling aid is a must for sleek tresses. Read on to learn how to find the best one for you. What exactly are serums?
Typically, serums are gels or liquids that lightly coat the hair follicle to add moisture and shine. These multi-use styling aids fight frizz, protect hair from heat and UV damage, and give strands a glossy finish. We’re addicted to the way serums make our hair manageable and polished, even on days when we don’t blow dry.How do you pick the right one?
Look for serums that are formulated for your hair. If you have oily or fine hair, steer clear of anything labeled ‘extra-moisturizing,’ as these can weigh strands down. For color treated hair, opt for a serum with UV-blocking ingredients . SPICE NEO's Hair Serum Milk Gloss is our favorite all-around winner, with a silky texture that never feels greasy. It's hair salon products. How should you use it?
While serums are often applied to damp hair before styling to protect strands from the heat, they work just as well on dry hair. Put a few drops in the palm of your hand (a little bit goes a long way!) and rub your hands together before smoothing through your hair. Start near your ends, which are more likely to be dry, and work your way up to mid-strand. Next, use your fingertips to fix stubborn flyaways near your roots.Saturday, November 3, 2012
Hair Care Treatments
Whether you're looking to fight frizz or change your hair's texture,
there's a hair treatment out there that can help. To find the hair salon products for
you.
With all the abuse your hair can take from brushing, styling, coloring, and highlighting, it can get frizzy and dull looking. A hair serum can help get the frizz under control and bring back the shine. Serums can also make it easier to comb and style your hair, which will reduce dreaded breakage. And they can protect your hair from styling-product buildup and from the sun’s rays. Here’s more about this go-to hair styling product.
How to use hair serum. You apply hair styling serum after shampooing. Take a few drops of hair serum, rub them between the palms of your hands, and then smooth the serum over, across, and through your wet hair. You can find serums in spray form if you prefer their easy application. A dollop about the size of a dime should be enough, although people with curly hair may need a bit more and those with straight hair might be able to get by with a bit less. Be careful to distribute the hair serum evenly, starting near the ends and working up to just below the roots. You should avoid spreading serum on your scalp and the roots of your hair, particularly if your scalp tends to be oily.
Drying and styling. Once you’ve applied the serum, you can let your hair dry naturally, or blow-dry and style as you normally do. Hair serums can help protect your hair if you use heat-styling tools like blow-dryers, curling irons, or straightening irons.
How hair serum works. The hair serum coats your hair’s strands, offering a layer of protection against the elements and smoothing over any tendencies toward frizz. Hair serums with UV protection are good choices, since they protect your hair from sun damage.
Glosses and glazes, polishes and pomades. Other products on the market can offer benefits similar to those of hair serums. Glosses, glazes, polishes, and pomades coat and protect the hair, leaving it smooth and shiny. If you have color-treated hair, there are glosses designed to enhance your color between sessions. Otherwise, you can choose a clear, color-free gloss for shine.
You don’t have to put up with dull, frizzy, fry away hair Tame it with a hair serum and flaunt your silky, shiny tresses.

How to Get Rid of Split Ends
If you have hair, odds are you have at least a few
split ends. A few aren't much of a problem; you
probably wouldn't even notice them unless you lifted a section of hair
up close to your face and crossed your eyes looking for them. But if you
have a lot of split ends, they can wreak havoc on the texture and
overall appearance of your hair by contributing to frizz and flyaways. we'll discuss trimming
the damaged ends of your hair because it's the only way to actually get
rid of split ends. It is possible to temporarily seal the split by
applying a product that coats each strand with a thin layer of silicone,
so split end menders are covered at the bottom of the page as well.
Ultimately, though, the best way to stop split ends is to prevent them.
For strategies proven to minimize hair splitting, read on.
How to Prevent Split Ends
How to Prevent Split Ends
Protect your hair from breaking. Your daily hair
care routine can actually do a lot of damage to your hair if you aren't
careful. In the shower, rather than pile your hair on top of your head
and scrub it vigorously, massage shampoo into just your scalp; the rest
of your hair will get clean as you rinse the suds out. Because a brush
can tear wet hair, always use a wide-toothed comb instead. Once your
hair is dry, a wide brush with a pad beneath the bristles is the
gentlest way to remove tangles. Since it's even possible to damage split
end-prone hair when you move around in your sleep, a satin pillowcase
can help your hair move with you instead of stretching or breaking.
Protect your hair's natural moisture. Most experts agree that it's unnecessary to wash hair every day, and doing so not only wears down the hair, but also strips away the oils from your scalp that naturally moisturize your hair. Instead, try washing your hair just once every two or three days. Using a salon shampoo and conditioner can also help prevent split ends from forming because more expensive products generally have higher concentrations of gentle detergents and high quality moisturizers. Regular deep conditioning treatments to replace lost moisture can also help protect your hair from split ends.
Protect your hair from heat. Regular blow drying and heat styling can make hair dry, brittle, and more prone to split ends. Letting your hair air dry more often and working with your hair's natural texture rather than fighting it with straighteners or hot rollers and curling irons will help prevent hair breakage and splitting. If you must blow dry, straighten, or curl your hair, use a lower heat setting and apply a heat protection spray or serum before styling to give your hair an extra shot of moisture and coat the hair shaft with additional line of defense against the heat.
Protect your hair from chemicals. Many common chemicals can dry or break down hair cuticles, leaving it vulnerable to splitting. If you color, perm, or chemically relax your hair, waiting as long as you can between treatments and using high-moisture shampoo, conditioner, and styling products can help keep it looking smooth and healthy. You should always wash your hair after swimming, especially in chlorinated pools or hot tubs, and since the salt in your own body sweat can be hard on your hair, it's also a good idea to shower after a workout or any other activity that leaves you feeling sweaty.
Protect your hair from the sun. Heat and UV rays from the sun can dry and damage your hair just as they do your skin. If you'll be spending time in the sun, a wide-brimmed hat is the most certain way to keep harmful rays off your hair (and your face, too), but if you aren't a hat wearer, many brands of leave-in conditioner are formulated to contain sunscreen. These products are most effective if you work them into your hair with your hands to coat as many individual strands as possible, as thoroughly as possible.

How to Choose Hair Product
We hate our hair, and so should you.
Really. It doesn't do anything, doesn't spike up or slick back by
itself—unless we're talking cowlicks and oil problems, in which case you
have bigger fish to fry. In fact, without any outside help, hair would
suffer a limp and dreary existence, with nothing but a periodic
scissoring to spice up its pitiful life. That's why a huge hair-care
market exists in those salons and drugstore aisles: to liven things up.
But how can we be expected to wade through all the stuff that's out
there? Waxes, gels, mousses, pomades…it's enough to make us want to
switch to dreadlocks and stop washing altogether. But help is on the
way. We broke down the ABCs of hair glop for you. Now go forth and
style. Carefully.
Gel
The workhorse of the bunch, with a utilitarian purpose: keeping hair stationary. Applied to wet hair, it holds shape and leaves hair shiny, and it comes in varying hold strengths from light to strong. Go with a strong-hold gel if you want stiffness; to make your hair more manageable or emphasize waviness, a lighter gel is a better option. Take heed: Some gels produce white flakes if you brush or comb your hair after the gel has dried, so don't be too hands-on.
Cream
To add extra shine and control without sacrificing your hair's natural look, creams are the way to go. Ideal for thick, coarse or curly hair, they may contain moisturizing ingredients like silk amino acids, olive oil or chamomile. The uni-named Pirkko, artistic director of New York City's Paul Labrecque Gentlemen's Salon, uses creams on dry or damp hair to give flexibility and strength and to tame flyaway hair without greasiness or stiffness.
Wax
One of the newest products to hit the scene. It's extremely versatile, good for everything from messier bed-head looks to more structured styles. It can have a matte or shiny finish and is applied to hair that's dry or slightly damp to define and control select pieces or areas. I use wax for almost everything. It's perfect for anything spiky, or it can be skimmed over the top of the hair for a neatly groomed style. He recommends wax for straight or slightly wavy hair, as it tends to clump in curly hair. Wax is more pliable than gel, allowing hair to be restyled ad infinitum—perfect for indecisive types or for someone who needs to go right from the office to the bar.
Mousse
Not a popular choice for men; there's a reason mousse is associated with the mall-rat Valley Girl look of the '80s. It's foamy and surrounds the hair strand with chemical compounds called polymers, resulting in a fuller appearance. Even though men may not be chasing that thick look, some mousses are specifically formulated to thicken fine hair with agents like rice protein and rosemary—making it perfect for foliage that's starting to thin up top.
Serum
Also called gloss, polish or smoothing fluid, it has a slick consistency and is used to reduce frizz and impart silkiness and sheen with silicone and various oils. Machen leans toward using serum on long, curly or brittle hair—its coating mechanism can soften the hair. For a quick shine fix, put a few drops on wet shampooed hair and then rinse it out.
The type of product you choose should be determined by your hair's length and texture. If you have short, fine hair and want it to stand up, use waxes or strong gels. Longer hair gives you more options, depending on how full you want it to look. For thinning hair, avoid heavier products, like creams and non-water-based pomades, as they'll weigh down your hair. Never just slap product onto the hair; put some in your palm and rub your hands together, then apply from the back of the head forward. And if you screw up your work of art, don't sweat it—it's a washable canvas.

Frizz Free Curls
65% of people have curly hair and almost half of them do not realize it! Believe it or not, if you have frizz, you have curl pattern in your hair.
Here’s the deal: curls need moisture. People with curly or frizzy hair have an average of 100,000 hairs on their head. People with straight hair have about 120,000 hairs on their head. More hair means more hair follicles that produce natural oils to smooth down your hair. So, less hair can mean less moisture.
And then there’s a curl’s worst nightmare: humidity. If your hair is dry and has not been getting the proper moisture it will become thirsty and “drink” up the humidity outside.
So let’s talk about how to get that frizz under control…
Hands down, you have to use the right hair products like moisturizing shampoo and conditioners will benefit curly/frizzy hair because they do not contain harsh oil stripping detergents.
After you wash your hair, don’t wrap it in the towel turban. I know it might be a habit, but you need to leave the hair saturated to set the curl. Instead, spray a leave-in conditioner and finger through your hair.
Flip over your head over and generously apply a mist spray.
The best thing to do is let your hair air dry, but if you don’t have the time, use a diffuser to gently scrunch your curls dry. Once dry, flip your head upside down and use your hands to create volume by moving your fingers back and forth through out your scalp.
Only wash your hair every other day to allow the oils to smooth down your cuticle. On the non-washing days, use a scrunching spray to reactivate the products in the morning to refresh.

How to* Sexy Beach hair in the City
Salty, wavy, thick beach hair is super-sexy — and it doesn't have to be something that you only achieve in the summertime by the sand. Here's how to achieve this faboo tousled wind blown look during the rest of the year.
First, shampoo and condition your hair before bed and towel dry your hair. Evenly distribute either a mousse or product with hold to it, in even sections throughout your hair. If you have thick or wavy hair, apply a relaxing balm to smooth your curls and tame frizz. Comb through.
Next, scrunch your hair before you fall asleep and when you wake, your hair will have great texture and volume.
To fix the front, just wet and blow out the pieces that are funky. Then take a large sized curling iron and wrap about ten different pieces around it to give your hair some freshness, body and bounce.

Is Ceramic Titunium Healthy for Hair?
There are many benefits to using an iron that features ceramic titunium plate. First, ceramic is known for emitting negative ions which work to smooth and relax the hair. Ceramic radiates far-infrared heat which traps in moisture as well as seals the
hairs cuticle leaving your hair looking healthier and frizz free. A Titunium flat iron will provide amazing durability under high heats and offers an even
heat distribution. When combined with the ceramic, titanium helps to
eliminate frizz, enhance shine, and improve the overall look of you
hair. Your hair is left hydrated, soft and healthier. A titunium ceramic hair iron
is a great way to straighten your hair with out the burn as it uses a
better heat transfer method than non ceramic titanium irons. And, dont forget to apply thermal protection hair spray.

How to Care for Curly Hair
If you have curly hair, chances are your hair tends to be dry, coarse and brittle. It also tends to frizz up, doesn't it? Here, we show you how to care for your curly hair.
Products Every Curly-Haired Girl Needs
Unlike your limp-tressed sisters who should stay away from products that weigh down their hair, you need a few products to keep frizz and dryness in check:- Caretrico shampoo A new craze in shampooing curly hair is the "No Poo" movement. This means not shampooing hair but instead conditioning it daily. My curly-haired friends also swear by caretrico shampoos. If you must you a shampoo, creamy shampoos are good!
- Caretrico conditioners You simply cannot over-condition frizzy hair. You need a heavy conditioner for use every time you wash your hair, and a deep conditioner for use once a week.
- Spice Styling Spray Enhance your curls with a spray created for any kind of hairstyle. Rub it in and let hair air dry.
- Caretrico After Treatment Lotion Warm up a couple drops of this in your hands and palm over dry, frizzy curls. This will solve your frizz problems.

Curly Hair Care for Rainy Days
Most curly girls think of rain as their enemy with a little voice
inside their head saying, “It’s raining and I’m NOT leaving the house
until it stops!”
We fear that the drops of water left by Mother Nature will turn our hair into a frizzy mess. Luckily, these easy curly hair care tips will give you the look you want even on the wettest of days.
Rainy Day Tips
Begin with a good cut. Layers are always a good suggestion when it comes to curls. Long layers work best and don’t keep curls too short. Visit your salon every six to eight weeks for a trim to keep your curls looking their best. Frequent visits also help with split ends. If you’re trying to grow your curls out a bit, you can just have a quick trim to keep curls healthy.
Use a good leave-in. After washing your hair, be sure to use a good leave-in conditioner, especially for rainy days ahead. A leave-in will help smooth the cuticle and define each curl to help reduce frizz. Any product that promises moisture for your hair, however, will also attract moisture from the elements, like rain and humidity. Therefore, be sure to also use a good, hard hold gel when styling your curls on rainy days.
Use your fingers to shape your curls. After applying a generous amount of gel, use your fingers to shape your curls into place. This will help to keep them more defined when you head outdoors. When you are done styling, allow your curls to dry naturally. If you plan on sleeping with damp hair be sure to use a satin pllowcase to help keep the curls’ pattern and definition. Most importantly, don’t touch your hair any more! Working your fingers through your curls should be kept to a minimum. If you have less time to prep, use a hair diffuser to keep your curls defined. Try to use a cooler setting and don’t over-dry your curls.
Finish up with a hair styling wax! Once curls are dry be sure to also use hair wax for rainy days. Hair styling wax will help act as a shield for curls and protect them from the rain. You can use any hairwax sparingly and, best of all, it’ll help add shine to your curls too! Some curlies even use a little coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil as part of their curly hair care to keep their locks shiny and smooth when the rain begins to fall.

How to Look Hot When it's Raining
It's pouring in San Francisco today and just about everyone is sporting some
version of a messy bun or frizzy ponytail. Of course there are a few
girls here and there who manage to look great—maybe even better—in
this weather. So we gathered a few of their rainy day survival tips to
help you get through the spring without looking like a wet poodle.
1. A mixture of frizz serum and Spice hairspray. This is the key to keeping your tresses sleek. Pull your hair into a ponytail; then, combine a dollop of Arimino anti-frizz product with a blast of hairspray and mix them together between your palms. Pat the mixture over your hair (including the pony).
2. Waterproof mascara. There's nothing worse than rushing to work, running into your boss in the elevator and only later discovering that you have black streaks all over your face. When it's really coming down outside, pick a lash lacquer like Lancome`s water proof.

Super Sexy Hair for Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and is the perfect occasion to enhance your look for that special someone. Let’s start with some tips and tricks for super sexy hair.
Sexy hair means soft, shiny, tousled, and most importantly, touchable.
Tip 1: Do not overdue it with the hairspray. No one likes to touch hard, crunchy hair. By prepping the hair with the right product first, you will not need to add a ton of hairspray to secure the look.
Tip 2: If you are starting with damp hair, apply mousse to roots. If you have limp hair, apply a volume spray to the ends. I love Spice Mist Volume Up, you only need a little bit for great volume. Flip your head over and blow-dry your hair focusing on the root. You are building a foundation to the style.
Tip #3: Use a large round brush for volume and to smooth any frizz. If you are not comfortable with a round brush, no worries, dry the rest of the hair with a paddle brush. Make sure you are not blowing down the volume at the roots.
Tip #4: Use a 2″ barrel curling iron. Take hair in vertical sections and curl away from the face.
Tip #5: For this look pull out those hot rollers . Curl in the direction you would like the hair to fall. Once the rollers are released, use Spice Shower Wave Style hair spray to finish.
Finally, you have super sexy hair! happy valentine`s day!
