Secrets to Getting Super Straight Hair

I was born with stick-straight hair so it doesn't take much more than a blow dryer and a brush to tame my mane. But my best friend was born with amazing curly hair and to get her hair straight involves such tedious drying, brushing and flat-iron that she's developed amazing biceps that she claimed she got from simply straightening her hair.

So how to get your hair straight and sleek? Here are some tips:

Wash hair first. You'll get better results if you don't start with already dried hair.
Towel-dry hair so it's barely damp. This cuts down on drying time. And apply special leave-in such as, Marbling hair ( Caretrico Marbling Care Essence Type-S) This one works for straight hair.

If you have wavy hair, I would recommend Caretrico Marbling Care Essence Type-H.
These two are special home care products.

Dry hair with a paddle brush pointing the nozzle downward. You want to avoid adding body to hair, so don't "fluff" as you dry. You're aiming for stick straight hair. You want it to hang like a curtain.
Follow with a flat iron. Start at the hair closest to the nape of the neck, ironing in small sections.
Finish by running a shine serum through hair. Skip this step

Straightening Damaged hair

If you have damaged or over processed hair but must use a flat iron to style your hair it is important that you follow some simple steps to help prevent further damage to your hair. Of course, not using heated styling tools is your best option but as we all know, sometimes we just don't have that choice.

When choosing a flat iron for damaged hair be sure that it has a temperature selection on it. You want to use the lowest heat setting possible when straightening your hair. A professional flat iron is also your best bet as these flat irons will feature benefits such as ceramic and ionic technology and tourmaline, all of which help aid in healthier styling. Always avoid coated or painted plates as these will eventually peel and chip with use in return pulling, snagging and breaking hair.

Before using a flat iron on damaged hair it is a must that you use a heat protection spray called Peace Chocolate Spray first. Apply this to damp hair and work from roots to tips. Between hairstyling using professional shampoos, professional conditioners and hair treatments for damaged hair will also help keep hair stronger and nourished.

When straightening your hair avoid running the plates of your hairstyling iron over a section of hair repeatedly as doing so causes more damage. It will be safer to use a higher heat and go over a section of hair once than using a lower heat and going over the section of hair again and again. Get frequent trims and avoid using heated styling tools and chemicals on your hair as often as possible until your hair is back to a healthy state. Once your hair has grown out and is once again healthy be sure to keep it that way by continuing to take care of it during styling!

Chocolate hair Spray

Why it's great:

This product is a must-have for everyone! I use it before blow drying, curling or straightening my hair to help protect from heat damage. I have colored hair and style it frequently with heated tools and it still manages to look healthy when I use this Chocolate hair Spray. For the great price and healthy hair results, you can't beat it. If your hair is colored, use  Spice ColorStory Shampoo.

The Chocolate Spray is a unique product, designed to protect hair when used with thermal tools. The spray closes down the cuticle and leaves a beautiful shiny finish. Also works wonders on wavy or curly styles. Hair maintains hold and shine without becoming frizzy or fly-away.

Use on towel-dried hair. Hold can upright and spray 8-10 inches from hair roots to ends, set hair into desired style. Spray on dry hair, section by section, prior to the use of thermal tools.
