How to Repair Bleach Damaged Hair

Pre-Washing

Using  Japanese shampoo and  treatments can help to infuse your hair with the moisture it needs to grow its longest.  The best treatment to use is Caretrico After Treatment Oil because it actually penetrates the hair unlinke most oils which only coat the hair. It should be applied treatment after washing. After applying, the hair should be covered with a plastic cap. Leave on hair for 5-15 minutes.

Washing

Your choice of shampoo is very important. Shampoos containing harsh sulfates strip the hair and should be avoided. The best type of shampoo to use is one gentle, moisturizing, and sulfate free. But at a minimum, your shampoo should not contain harsh sulfates. Check the ingredients list on your shampoo to find out if they are damaging.

Moisturizing Treatments

Using heat appliances and chemical processes remove moisture from your hair that needs to be replaced. If your hair feels dry, you need to replace lost moisture. Deep conditioning should always be done to the ends of the hair. If a deep conditioner is applied all over, it should be followed with a shampoo (not clarifying).

How often should you use a moisturizing treatment?
A regular light moisturizing treatment should be used following every shampoo (unless a pre-shampoo treatment is done). For very dry and damaged hair, a deep conditioner should be used once weekly. Also, if you use protein treatments often, you may need to deep condition (those that require a shower cap under a heated dryer)

How should the treatment be applied?
Shampoo, then apply the treatment (professional salon products) all over and cover with a shower cap. The treatment should be left in 20-60 minutes. For fine hair, the treatment should be rinsed, followed by a shampoo. For thicker hair, it is not necessary to use shampoo following the treatment.
