How Can I Improve My Hair Elasticity?

The term hair elasticity refers to the amount of pulling and stretching that hair can withstand without breaking. As humans age, the amount of elasticity within the hair decreases. This part of the natural aging process and will cause hair to break easily, though this is not the only reason why hair may split or break on a regular basis.

The way that you treat your scalp also impacts hair elasticity. If you want to increase hair elasticity, make sure that you are treating your scalp properly. Every time you shampoo your hair, take a few moments to massage your scalp. By massaging your scalp, you are helping to stimulate hair strength and growth. This is precisely why hair students across the world are taught to massage a person's scalp while washing hair.

In addition, make sure that you are not damaging your hair by using the wrong type of hair brush. Brushes and combs that tear and rip the hair will not promote hair elasticity. Instead, choose a comb that has wide-set teeth, so that hair can easily pass through the teeth without causing any damage. Also, make sure that you do not brush your hair when your hair is wet. Hair is at is most susceptible stage when it is wet, which is why it's best to wait until your hair is dry to brush it.

As far as styling products are concerned, make sure to read product labels. As with food labels, certain product ingredients can be detrimental to hair elasticity. Try to avoid any products that include the oil-stripping properties. Chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, and diethanolamine can damage your hair. Instead, look for natural products that aren't packed with harmful chemicals.

Certain styling tools such as straighteners and curlers can also cause damage. Also, coloring your hair on a regular basis may make your hair weaker. If you are going to use hair color, opt for an organic colorant that does not contain as many harsh chemicals as regular color. Most salons that are aware of damaging products offer organic hair color to interested clients.

By sticking with the tips listed above, you should be able to increase your hair's elasticity. If you find that these tips do not lead to stronger hair, then you may want to consider some hair strengthening products -- just remember to stay away from products laced with chemicals. Lastly, use clips and combs to hold your hair in place, since tight elastics can cause your hair to break.

Professional Treatment at Home

Professional/Salon Treatment at Home – How to get professional results every time

Caretrico Treatment at home is simple enough when you know how, and it’s easy to get professional, salon quality results yourself, with no formal training or specialist equipment.

Whether you’re a salon owner, hairdresser or simply someone who wants to apply home professional/salon  treatment, follow these simple tips to achieve a really professional finish, and you’ll enjoy perfectly easy to manage, frizz-free hair for months.

All you need to apply at home Caretrico Treatment is a good hair brush, blow dryer and electric straightening irons. Plus an hour or two, depending on the length and thickness of your hair.

Before you start your home professional/salon treatment

The most important thing to say is that rushing the job will not work. You need to take your time, work slowly and be patient.

First off, let me say that any treatment you apply to your hair will work better when it’s clean. By which I mean, it’s not coated with the residues of any other hair products you’ve used in the past, or build ups of grime and pollution.

But when you use  smoothing product, it’s vital to prepare your hair by making it more absorbent and ‘receptive’. That’s why many clarifying shampoos like top shampoo from Japan often include a small amount of Keratin, to create a ‘molecular bridge’, which in English means it allows for deeper infusion.

How to Care for Curly Hair

If you have curly hair, chances are your hair tends to be dry, coarse and brittle. It also tends to frizz up, doesn't it? Here, we show you how to care for your curly hair.

Products Every Curly-Haired Girl Needs

Unlike your limp-tressed sisters who should stay away from products that weigh down their hair, you need a few products to keep frizz and dryness in check:
  •   Caretrico shampoo A new craze in shampooing curly hair is the "No Poo" movement. This means not shampooing hair but instead conditioning it daily. My curly-haired friends also swear by caretrico shampoos. If you must you a shampoo, creamy shampoos are good!
  • Caretrico conditioners You simply cannot over-condition frizzy hair. You need a heavy conditioner for use every time you wash your hair, and a deep conditioner for use once a week.
  • Spice Styling Spray Enhance your curls with a spray created for any kind of hairstyle. Rub it in and let hair air dry.
  • Caretrico After Treatment Lotion Warm up a couple drops of this in your hands and palm over dry, frizzy curls. This will solve your frizz problems.

Frizzy Hair Fixes

If you have curly hair and live in a humid environment, you likely suffer from frizzy hair. Curly hair tends to be dry and is particularly susceptible to humidity. It simply wants to soak up the moisture in the air, which causes the hair's cuticles to expand, which therefore causes frizz.
So how to control the frizz? It's possible to control frizz, but you need to arm yourself with the right products and proper styling. Here are some Frizzy Hair Rules

Rule No. 1: Careful With That Shampoo

Shampooing can strip hair of its natural oils, which are actually great frizz fighters. To avoid frizz, lather up only a couple times a week with a gentle shampoo, like Caretrico Shampoo. This shampoos are gentler on the hair and the scalp. You can use baby powder or a dry shampoo to keep oil at bay between washings.

Rule No. 2: Deep Condition After Every Shampoo

Unless you have super-fine hair (most curly hair is not fine), you should deep condition after every shampoo. A deep conditioner protects the hair's shaft, coating it so it is less able to soak up the humidity in the air. Allow the conditioner to stay on for at least 5 minutes before rinsing.

Rule No. 3: Never Rub Hair Dry With a Towel

Rubbing hair dry with a towel only roughs up the cuticle, making it more prone to the frizzies once it dries. Instead, squeeze hair dry with the towel. I read once that Drew Barrymore swears by squeezing her hair dry with super-absorbent paper towels (think Bounty). My friend with curly hair dries her hair with a super-absorbent towel that she got from a travel store  She says it's the perfect size.

Rule No. 5: The Right Kind of Blow Dryer

Invest in an ionic hair dryer (see my list of the best hair dryers), which dries hair much faster, therefore creating less damage to the hair's cuticles. You should use a diffuser when blow-drying curly hair.

Rule No. 6: The Correct Way to Blow Hair Dry

Not blow drying hair correctly will definitely cause frizz. To dry hair correctly, hold the blow dryer under hair, squeezing curls in your palm as you dry. If you don't use a diffuser, aim the blow dryer nozzle downward, in the direction hair grows.

Rule No. 7: Watch That Hairspray, Try a Gloss Spray Instead

Most hairsprays and mousses have a high slcohol content which is incredibly drying to that hair you just protected with the conditioners and the serums. If you must spray hair, use a Spice`s hairspray with little to no alcohol. Finish hair instead by spritzing a high gloss spray in your palm, rubbing your palms together and then "palming" your hair where the frizzies tend to pop up. More resources for curly hair:

Caring for Long Hair

Long, loose locks are the trend on the runway and red carpet this season. Long hair is beautiful, sexy, lush, but it can be hard to maintain. When healthy and well cared for, long hair looks spectacular whether loose, pulled back, worn in an updo, or any combination of styles. But unhealthy, messy, or damaged, long hair looks terrible any way you wear it. Prone to damage, breakage, split ends, unruly in the summer or dry in the winter, long hair needs special care to stay healthy and gorgeous. Here’s how to care for long hair.

Wash your hair gently but thoroughly several times a week. Use Peace`s top shampoo that is formulated for your type of long hair — dry, normal, combination, or oily. Scrub the hair on your scalp and massage down to the ends of your long hair.

Use Peace`s top conditioner on your hair every day. Pay special attention to long hair’s ends, adding extra conditioner and pressing into the ends of your long hair gently
Rinse long hair with warm, then cool water — not hot. Hot water can damage your long hair, causing it to look frizzy and become difficult to manage and style.
Dry your long hair gently with a soft towel or cotton T-shirt, squeezing out excess moisture. Never wrap long hair in a towel, twist, and place on top of your hard to dry, as this will cause hair to become damaged and rough.
Consider using a leave-in conditioner or de-tangler. If your long hair is curly or thick, these leave-in styling products can keep hair soft and manageable.

Invest in a top quality hairbrush with natural bristles and wide toothed comb to detangle your long hair. Comb through wet hair from roots to tips, making sure the ends are completely tangle free without pulling on the ends to make them so.
Dirty brushes make dirty long hair. Be sure to remove hair that gets stuck in your brush or comb every day. Then wash and dry your brushes and combs once a week. To clean hair brushes and combs, soak in warm water and shampoo for 5 minutes, rinse, and let dry on a towel overnight.
Make every attempt to let your long hair dry naturally, but if you must use a blow dryer, keep it on a cool setting and avoid pulling long hair while you dry it.

Choose hair accessories wisely-not all of them are suitable for women with long hair. Avoid elastic bands and opt for soft cloth ‘scrunchies’ instead. Use styling combs and bands with strong teeth, as week ones will break off in. your long hair and get tangles. Experiment with updos, braids, and other hairstyles that suit you, but be sure you don’t tug, pull, or wrangle your long hair in any way that can cause damage.

Trim your long hair every 6-8 weeks to remove split ends and excess hair weight that can make hair oily, frizzy, or dry.

Protect long hair from perspiration when you exercise, chlorine when you swim in a pool, and the sun when you are outside in the summer months. Pull long hair off face and neck, apply extra conditioners when needed, cover hair in a hat, and cleanse hair thoroughly after it has been exposed to excessive sun, salt water, chlorine, sweat, or other elements.

Your lifestyle shows in your long hair. Excessive stress, lack of sleep, smoking, and poor eating and exercising habits make it harder to keep your hair healthy. Eat a nutritious diet rich in vitamins and protein, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, get some rest, avoid cigarettes, and your hair will boast its health.

Want beautiful, head-turning tresses? Take care of your long hair and look beautiful every day!

Salon Products Vs. Over the Counter Hair Products

Why are salon products more expensive than over the counter products? Why should I use salon products instead of over the counter products? How do I know what product is right for my hair type? These are a few very common questions and also questions that most people do not know the answer to. Knowing the right hair products to use can save you lots of time and money in the long run. The most important thing about a product is how it makes your hair feel after wards, right? The cleaning agent in salon products, also known as the surfactant, is gentler than the over the counter products. Often times, over the counter products can leave your hair feeling dry, or with product build up in your hair. Many over the counter products contain harsh ingredients. Ammonium Laurel Sulfate is often found in over the counter products and can actually dry out your hair, causing split ends and hair breakage. Salon products have tons of experts and research behind them. Your hair stylist can help you choose the salon product that is correctly formulated for your hair type and for what your trying to accomplish for your finished look. Most salon products are also pH balanced to your hair's natural pH. Also, salon products contain higher quality conditioners for your hair that contain protein and protection. Salon products are also of a higher consistency than over the counter products. Salon products are more concentrated, which means that you can use less of the salon product than the over the counter product and you will still be able to get the effect you are looking for.
I am sure that you have noticed lately that salon products can be found at your local convenience stores due to what is being called "diversion". Salons should be the only ones carrying professional products, and yet some how they have started showing up at local convenience stores. Professional product companies are stumped and are trying desperately to find out how this is happening and stop it, as the salon products sold at the local convenience stores may be fake, old or diluted salon products. Just remember, stylists are trained in the knowledge and formulation of these salon products, they are your go to guide for your hair problems, and they also make their living off of them. Also, salon products are only guaranteed if you buy them in a salon.

Straightening Damaged hair

If you have damaged or over processed hair but must use a flat iron to style your hair it is important that you follow some simple steps to help prevent further damage to your hair. Of course, not using heated styling tools is your best option but as we all know, sometimes we just don't have that choice.

When choosing a flat iron for damaged hair be sure that it has a temperature selection on it. You want to use the lowest heat setting possible when straightening your hair. A professional flat iron is also your best bet as these flat irons will feature benefits such as ceramic and ionic technology and tourmaline, all of which help aid in healthier styling. Always avoid coated or painted plates as these will eventually peel and chip with use in return pulling, snagging and breaking hair.

Before using a flat iron on damaged hair it is a must that you use a heat protection spray called Peace Chocolate Spray first. Apply this to damp hair and work from roots to tips. Between hairstyling using professional shampoos, professional conditioners and hair treatments for damaged hair will also help keep hair stronger and nourished.

When straightening your hair avoid running the plates of your hairstyling iron over a section of hair repeatedly as doing so causes more damage. It will be safer to use a higher heat and go over a section of hair once than using a lower heat and going over the section of hair again and again. Get frequent trims and avoid using heated styling tools and chemicals on your hair as often as possible until your hair is back to a healthy state. Once your hair has grown out and is once again healthy be sure to keep it that way by continuing to take care of it during styling!

Recipe for Super Healthy Hair

Spice Peace line is the ultimate in luxury for damaged hair.  The whole line revolves around repairing and protecting your hair.   The line contains shampoos, conditioners, protectants, deep treatments and styling aids.  I have used several products from this line in the past, and  some of them more recently.  My friend worked at a salon for several years before opening her own, and her old salon featured different products so I kind of "forgot" how great the Arimino line really is!  When I worked as a cosmetology instructor we used the Spice system on the backbar.  Although I had suggested it for many people  I had not used it for myself for many years.  A few months ago I was getting my hair done by my friend at the salon she works at and I saw the treatment system on the backbar.  My hair had been feeling a bit dry and damaged so I asked if I could add on a treatment service.  All I can say is WOW!  My hair felt SO amazing after!  I had been using another deep conditioning treatment at home but this made my hair feel so much better I couldn't believe it!

Well it only took once until I knew I needed to dump my other backbar treatment for her clients and immediately start using Peace treatment on my backbar!  In her salon I chose to feature the 2 deep treatments. Just amazing result.

The reason why this treatment is so great is because it gives moisture and protein.  Protein strengthens your hair and moisture makes it soft.  A lot of treatments only contain protein OR moisture, with the two steps you get both.

Curly Hair Care for Rainy Days

Most curly girls think of rain as their enemy with a little voice inside their head saying, “It’s raining and I’m NOT leaving the house until it stops!”
We fear that the drops of water left by Mother Nature will turn our hair into a frizzy mess. Luckily, these easy curly hair care tips will give you the look you want even on the wettest of days.

Rainy Day Tips

Begin with a good cut. Layers are always a good suggestion when it comes to curls. Long layers work best and don’t keep curls too short. Visit your salon every six to eight weeks for a trim to keep your curls looking their best. Frequent visits also help with split ends. If you’re trying to grow your curls out a bit, you can just have a quick trim to keep curls healthy.

Use a good leave-in. After washing your hair, be sure to use a good leave-in conditioner, especially for rainy days ahead. A leave-in will help smooth the cuticle and define each curl to help reduce frizz. Any product that promises moisture for your hair, however, will also attract moisture from the elements, like rain and humidity. Therefore, be sure to also use a good, hard hold gel when styling your curls on rainy days.

Use your fingers to shape your curls. After applying a generous amount of gel, use your fingers to shape your curls into place. This will help to keep them more defined when you head outdoors. When you are done styling, allow your curls to dry naturally. If you plan on sleeping with damp hair be sure to use a satin pllowcase to help keep the curls’ pattern and definition. Most importantly, don’t touch your hair any more! Working your fingers through your curls should be kept to a minimum. If you have less time to prep, use a hair diffuser to keep your curls defined. Try to use a cooler setting and don’t over-dry your curls.

Finish up with a hair styling waxOnce curls are dry be sure to also use hair wax for rainy days. Hair styling wax will help act as a shield for curls and protect them from the rain. You can use any hairwax sparingly and, best of all, it’ll help add shine to your curls too! Some curlies even use a little coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil as part of their curly hair care to keep their locks shiny and smooth when the rain begins to fall.

Hair Pump Up Your Volume!

Cleanse carefully: Use Peace conditioner and Caretrico shampoo (even if you have curly hair) and apply conditioner only to ends. "These products are formulated explicitly not to weigh hair down," explains London-based stylist Peter Gray.

Give your roots a boost: "Everyone can benefit from a root lifter," says celebrity stylist Harry Josh. Apply the product before blowing dry, from midshaft to root ‑- unless your hair is fine, in which case you should aim for the base of your roots only.

A better blow-dry: For maximum oomph, lift sections of hair toward the sky as you blow-dry, directing hot air toward your scalp. This "cooks" the roots and dries them in an upright and lifted position.

Upside-down is not a do: Flipping your head over to blow-dry gives your hair width (think Bride of Frankenstein), not height (think Gisele), notes Josh.

Learn to back-brush: Instead of teasing your tresses with a comb (a surefire way to get volume, even if your locks are limper than yesterday's linguine), use a flat-backed brush, which will damage your hair less since the bristles are spaced apart more widely, says Gray. His favorite brand? Mason Pearson.

Try a tail: If you have natural volume but can't quite seem to rein it in, New York City-based some stylists suggests a look they call "The Puff" (see model at far right). Start with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, then apply a cream-based styler. Next, diffuse your wet locks and gather into a high pony. The result? Sexy but subdued body.

Mist, don't douse: The ultimate volume slayer: Spice hairspray. If you must use a finishing product, we recommends spritzing it into the air and walking through the ensuing cloud. Or, spray it onto your hands and then run them over your tresses.

Exaggerate your ends: If your hair is curly or wavy, you tend to have body at your roots and straggly ends. For balance, Kerry Warn, who has styled volume vixen Nicole Kidman, often blow-dries hair straight first, then adds body back in using a curling iron or rollers from midshaft down.

Hair Styling Wax Beauty Product For Controlling Short, Long, Thick As Well As Frizzy Hairs.

Japanese Hair wax from Arimino company is a product which is in the market for many years now and still is the most famous product utilized for doing hairstyles. The flexibility of this particular product has been raised to include both ladies and men in fact almost all overview show that males have started utilizing this hair wax more than ladies ever had. Therefore right now you can get plenty of different brands on the market which are specifically for males. While buying styling wax be cautious about the products that mention 'hair pomades'. This is because hair pomade is not the same as styling wax. The difference is that hair wax is a kind of product which comes from wax and also has the advantage of easy application on either wet and dry hair however if you apply it on your damp hair it is more convenient. Moreover this kind of styling wax works perfect on hair that is short or even medium in length.

For this reason most males purchase hair styling wax. While using wax if it is chilly it might not apply all over your hair easily. For that reason it's usually recommended to warm it up a little bit by massaging it on your palms for some time before applying it on. When you apply hair wax for the first couple of hrs it will remain hard however as the days passes your hair will begin to loosen up. You will find many hairstyles that need serious flare and also holding up for that it's essential that you must use styling wax which is in a position to tolerate it. Guys like to make use of wax to create that fashionable pointed hairstyle that is so famous. Amongst females that have bob cuts especially the textured bobs they normally use a lot of wax to have their hairstyle in shape.

Quick and Easy Curly hair Tips for Windy days

You’re all set for a great day. Your hair has never looked better, your curls are shiny and beautiful. Then you walk out your door only to discover the TV weather forecaster was wrong again!
Windy weather and storms can ruin a perfectly good curl day. But if you’re prepared, you can still have a great day, hair and all.
Hydration is key on windy days, no matter your hair type. In fact, for those curlies with convertible cars, these curly hair tips are probably something you’ve already been using whenever it’s a “tops down” kind of day.

Prep & Styles for Windy Days

Peace Deep condition! Make a point of treating your curls to a deep conditioning treatment once a week, especially during the dryer, colder winter months.

②Keep hydrating! Hydrate your curls after each shower with a Peace leave-in conditioner. Be sure to evenly spread your leave-in throughout your hair.

③Stay clear of heat tools. Wind is drying enough, don’t add more damage by using a blow dryer or flat iron on your hair. If you must, be sure to use a heat protection like Peace Chocolate Spray

④Once hair is dry and prepped, keep it in place with a strong hold hair wax like Sisters hard Wax
. You may also opt to use a few small bobby pins to pin pieces down towards your neck or behind your ears. There is no need to pull your curls back too tightly as the bobby pin will hold the strand in place if you secure it properly. Try making an X with two pins to ensure a strong hold.

After you get the prep work out of the way, ensure that your curls stay in place with these curly hair tips for steering clear of wind-blown kinks!
