Shampooing Your Hair

Say goodbye to "bad hair days" with the right shampoo. Learn what to look for in a shampoo and which shampoos are right for your specific hair type. Beautiful, healthy hair is just a shampoo away!

your hair frizzy and out of control? Maybe it has no body and will never hold a style. If you’re not happy with the way your hair looks, your shampoo could be the problem. Even if you love your current look, the right shampoo can cut down on those hours spent blowing, teasing, and spraying in front of the mirror each day.

Choose the right shampoo. One of the biggest mistakes women make is choosing a shampoo based on price or smell. There is a real science behind all the ingredients that go into your shampoo. You need to read shampoo labels to identify those formulated for your specific hair type. The companies that produce hair care products conduct intensive research to develop shampoos that will bring out the best in your hair. Using a product that is not made for your hair could result in damage, increased risk of breakage, and a very unhappy customer — you!

I would recommend  Caretrico Grace Blue Moist Bounce Shampoo which
contains an amino acid that rebuilds water retention in the matrix of the hair shaft, an area most affected by change. In addition Moist Bounce contains Amino Ceramide, a natural amino acid which rebuilds moisture in the matrix of dry hair.

If you must condition after your shampoo, apply Caretrico GraceBlue Moist Bounce Treatment
only to the middle and ends of your hair. And when you’re through, hands off! Avoid touching hair whenever possible and brush only when necessary

10 Easy Ways to Get Shiny, Healthy Hair

You don't have to spend endless hours at the hair salon to get shiny, healthy-looking hair. With a few simple tweaks to your hair care routine, you'll have glistening tresses in no time.

Don’t you love it when you feel as if your hair looks so good, you might've just stepped out of a shampoo commercial? You imagine yourself stopping traffic as you strut your stuff down the street — wind whipping through your long, glistening tresses. Bad hair days? Never!
Okay, so maybe that scenario is only the stuff of dreams — but shiny, healthy hair can be reality. Learn how to shine with these 10 simple tips fromt hair experts. The best part? None of them require
a trip to the salon!

1. Say yes to hair serum.
Shine serums are available that have been specially formulated to give frizzy or unruly hair a sleek sheen. Find some great options at your local drugstore, beauty supply store, or hair salon. These products moisturize your hair with a light concentration of oils or silicone, says Shorter. To apply, “use a pea-sized amount to start,” she advises. “Start at the bottom of your hair and work your way up, rubbing it into wet hair with your hands.” It’s important not to use too much serum, because it can weigh hair down, but if you feel you need more moisture, go ahead and add a bit more.

2. Use a leave-in conditioner.
Regular conditioners are great, but if you really want to pump up the shine, Shorter recommends adding a leave-in conditioner to your routine. These come in both spray-on and lotion forms. Apply them the same way you do shine serum

3. Wash with cool water.
Beware of hot water! It can dry out your hair and leave it dull. Instead, after shampooing and conditioning, rinse with cool water. “It closes the cuticle,” explains Shorter. “And that allows light to reflect off the hair, producing lots of shine.”

4. Be smart about blow-drying.
As you’re blow-drying your hair, direct the dryer's nozzle down the hair shafts as you hold each section of hair with a round brush. Finish by pressing the “cool” button on your hair dryer — the cool air produces a reflective effect similar to that of a cool-water rinse after shampooing.

5. Spray on the shine.
When your hair is dry, finish your look with a spray-on shine product. Shorter recommends spray mists made by Ojon and Pantene. Whether it comes in a pump bottle or aerosol can, a shine spray can be misted onto dry hair — no matter what texture it is — to give it an extra glistening effect.

6. Switch to a silicone flatiron.
A flatiron can help straighten hair, which usually looks shinier than wavy hair. But avoid overusing a flatiron — all that heat-styling can be drying! Shorter recommends a new type of flatiron made by Bio Ionic, with silicone built into the plates rather than the typical ceramic or metal. “The heated silicone glides right over the hair and straightens it in one pass. “I’ve found that silicone cuts the straightening time in half, which means less damage.”

7. Get a glossing treatment.
If you really want to get your shine on, consider having a professional glossing treatment. These are often performed after a hair-coloring treatment, but you can get one without the dye job. “It's designed to give you richer hair color with more depth, but it doesn’t actually have any pigment to it,” says Shorter. A glossing is usually temporary, lasting about four to six shampoos, and glossing kits are available at some drugstores, so you can even try it out without hitting the salon.

8. Hydrate your body.
Drinking plenty of water will ensure that your hair is properly moisturized from the inside out. About eight glasses a day is ideal. Keep a bottle by your side and sip from it often!

9. Eat nutritious foods.
Shorter recommends getting your daily recommended allowances of vitamins A and E for shiny, healthy hair. Also, be sure you’re eating plenty of protein, which promotes hair growth. “Eggs and nuts are excellent sources of protein.

10. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Shiny hair is healthy hair — so don’t abuse it! Limit your hair’s exposure to harsh chemicals, like the chlorine in pools, and lye-based hair-relaxing creams. Use heat-styling as infrequently as you can get away with, and avoid products that contain alcohol, which can dry out your hair and strip its shine.

Do’s and Don’ts of Hair Serum

DO use to protect your precious locks. Excessive heat can seriously damage your hair if you don’t take the proper precautions. ALWAYS use a thermal leave-in protection- Peace Chocolate Spray
before blow drying, straightening, and curling. And remember: once isn’t always enough! Use a little before you blow dry and then a little more before you flat iron or curl. Your hair will thank you!

DON’T use near your scalp. It’s a common tendency to start massaging a product in at the roots, like you’re shampooing or conditioning. Hair serums work differently. The natural oils secreted by your scalp take care of your roots. Applying serum over that natural oil will make your hair look flat and greasy. Gross! Instead, start around ear-level and work downward all the way to the tips. Don’t worry about covering every last strand, when you brush your hair to style the product will distribute itself evenly. BONUS: Taking care of the tips will help you avoid split ends!

DO use on wet hair. Hair is at its most delicate state when it’s wet so please be gentle! Think of it as a negotiation where you have the upper hand, though, because this is the point where your hair will be most willing to compromise. If you’re using a hair serum to control wavy, curly, or frizzy hair, the product you use now will have the most effect on your overall style for the day.

DON’T use on fine hair. Every girl with fine hair wishes it was thicker; every girl with thick hair wishes it was finer, right? Well this is one point where the girls with fine hair win – you guys just don’t need as much serum! Too much product will make your hair flat and greasy, so have fun with that extra cash in your pocket while the rest of us are slaving away on the search for the perfect product. BONUS: Sorry to burst your bubble as soon as I blew it up, but that’s not to say you can totally live without serum. I mean, c’mon, no one can live without serum! If you’re using thermal styling tools you need a lightweight thermal leave-in protectant.

DO use for shine. Think of all the ways we damage our hair every day: perms, highlights, lowlights, flat irons, hair dryer, curling irons, hot rollers – you name it, we’ll try it! With all that damage, wouldn’t you wake up a little dull and drab some days? Well that’s where hair serum comes in. A good serum will leave your hair looking bright and shiny. Blondes will look blonder, red heads will look redder, we’ll all look skinnier! Okay, maybe we got carried away there, but you get the point!

DON’T go overboard! Remember how your mother always taught you less is more? Well, we’re pretty sure she was talking about hair serum. We get the thinking behind overdoing it – a little makes my hair look good, so a lot will make my hair look great, right? WRONG! Start off any new serum with a dime sized amount. For thinner hair, use a pearl sized amount. If you think you could get a little more out of your serum, try using a little more. Now that you know how to use it, we’ll help you choose it! Peace Chocolate Spray is a great leave-in protectant that will keep your hair healthy and leave your locks smooth and shiny.

Spice Neo Hair Serums

Give your hair a glossy, frizz-free glow with  Arimino shampoos dose of hair serum. Read on to find out what you need to know about this styling must-have.

With all the abuse your hair can take from brushing, styling, coloring, and highlighting, it can get frizzy and dull looking. Spice Neo hair serum can help get the frizz under control and bring back the shine. Serums can also make it easier to comb and style your hair, which will reduce dreaded breakage. And they can protect your hair from styling-product buildup and from the sun’s rays. Here’s more about this go-to hair styling product.

How to use hair serum. You apply hair styling serum after shampooing. Take a few drops of hair serum, rub them between the palms of your hands, and then smooth the serum over, across, and through your wet hair. You can find serums in spray form if you prefer their easy application. A dollop about the size of a dime should be enough, although people with curly hair may need a bit more and those with straight hair might be able to get by with a bit less. Be careful to distribute the hair serum evenly, starting near the ends and working up to just below the roots. You should avoid spreading serum on your scalp and the roots of your hair, particularly if your scalp tends to be oily.

Drying and styling. Once you’ve applied the serum, you can let your hair dry naturally, or blow-dry and style as you normally do. Hair serums can help protect your hair if you use heat-styling tools like blow-dryers, curling irons, or straightening irons.

How hair serum works. The hair serum coats your hair’s strands, offering a layer of protection against the elements and smoothing over any tendencies toward frizz. Hair serums with UV protection are good choices, since they protect your hair from sun damage.

The price of beauty. There are lots of hair serums available in drugstores and beauty-supply stores, priced from $6 to $30. If you’re not sure what to buy, Take a look our website.. We can recommend a product suitable for your hair type and condition.  http://www.vjpeace.com/

Fine-hair alternatives. If your hair is very fine. you may find that hair serum weighs it down. Caretrico leave-in  might be a better choice for your locks.
Glosses and glazes, polishes and pomades. Other products on the market can offer benefits similar to those of hair serums. Glosses, glazes, polishes, and pomades coat and protect the hair, leaving it smooth and shiny. If you have color-treated hair, there are glosses designed to enhance your color between sessions. Otherwise, you can choose a clear, color-free gloss for shine.

You don’t have to put up with dull, frizz, fly away hair. Tame it with a hair serum and flaunt your silky, shiny tresses.

Should I Hydrate or Moisturize Hair During Humidity?

You probably get some relief from dry skin during warm, humid months, but those steamy days can totally wreck your hair. Humidity easily transforms your perfectly styled 'do into a frizzy, expanded mess by lunchtime, but don't worry -- you don't have to spend your summer looking like an '80s rock star. Instead, learn how to hydrate your hair to protect it against the moisture in the air.

Facts on Frizz

When there's lots of moisture in the air, the strands of your hair absorb the moisture and swell. This causes your hair to expand and increase in volume. You're more likely to experience problems with frizzing and volume in humidity if your hair is curly or naturally dry, but all hair types can experience problems in humid air. But don't give up and blame your genes -- dry hair absorbs way more moisture than hydrated hair, so tweaking your hair care routine can help you solve summer hair problems.

Hydrating Your Hair

Moisturizing your hair prevents it from absorbing the extra moisture in humid air, decreasing frizz. Start off by adding a conditioner to your routine, such as a Caretrico  conditioner( type S) Then beat the frizz with a defrizz serum while you blow-dry or straighten your hair. Stash a small bottle of leave-in conditioner or Spice Neo Design Wax or Spice Neo Texure Wax in your purse to touch up your 'do throughout the day.

Sun Smarts

Spending your free time at the beach or pool helps you de-stress, but don't forget to care for your hair while you relax. Sun, salt water and chlorine can dehydrate and damage your hair, increasing the chance you'll have to deal with a puffy, frizzy mess later on. And if your hair is dyed or already damaged, it'll be extra vulnerable. So protect your locks by donning a cute scarf or hat while you lay out, putting in leave-in conditioner before heading outside and rinsing your hair before and after you swim.

Go Natural

Summer is the time to relax, so consider embracing your natural hairstyle, too. If your hair is naturally curly or straight, don't fight it -- humid, wet air is going to return it to its natural state anyway. Styles that let your hair cuticle lie flat minimize the chances of expansion and frizz, and too much heat or styling will dry your hair further and cause breakage and brittle locks.

Which Hair Product for Your Hair Type?

Are you using the right hair products for styling your hair? Hair products generally fall into one of three categories depending on the ingredients that actually act to hold the hair. Each type is suitable for different hair types and styling purposes.

Water-based hair products: (e.g. gels, mousses and foams)
These deliver the styling polymers in a water base, so they tend to dry relatively slowly. They coat the hair in a film which, as it dries, becomes sticky. This lends friction to the hair, making it easier to style. Once the product dries on the hair it forms a hard film that holds the hair in place. This film is rigid and non-flexible, so further brushing or disrupting the hair style will potentially break the bonds that hold the hairstyle in place, although the product on the hair shaft will still provide some degree of friction which will help with further styling until the product is washed out.

Gels are thick water-based styling products that are particularly good for increasing hair stiffness and providing a texturized look. Gel is popular for short, spikey hairstyles because it provides good root lift.

Mousses and foams deliver the water-soluble styling ingredients with the aid of liquid propellant. The propellant quickly evaporates once the mousse is dispensed into the hand leaving the styling concentrate. Because the styling concentrate is essentially "whipped up", it is able to be easily dispensed throughout the hair and spread thinly so that it doesn't weigh down hair or create areas of excessive rigidity.

Wax-based hair products: (e.g. waxes and pomades)
Wax based styling products differ from water based products in that they don't actually dry (since they're not wet in the first place — just waxy). This enables you to create the same thick, defined, piecey look as with gels, but without the rigidity. Since these products remain pliable, you're able to fix and restyle your hair throughout the day just by running your fingers through your hair.

Waxes and pomades are highly flexible and provide great definition, but can be heavy when used in inappropriate quantities, or on hair that is fine or prone to oiliness. They can also be difficult to wash out, so it is beneficial to use a good clarifying shampoo if you're using waxes or pomades regularly.

Alcohol-based hair products: (e.g. hairspray)
Alcohol based styling products, such as hairspray, deliver styling product to the hair as a mixture of styling product and alcohol. The alcohol component of the mix evaporates very quickly, which means that these products will dry on the hair much faster than their water-based counterparts. Alcohol-based products typically use aerosol propellants which enable the styling product to be delivered in very small droplets, which dry faster and provide a more even, thorough coverage. Alcohol-based stylers are excellent for finishing off a style because they do not rewet the hair (which can be detrimental to the style), and because they effectively seal off the hair from the weakening effect of external moisture and humidity.

Styling Tips For Short Hair On Men

Short hair is hugely popular with men thanks to its versatility, but it still needs styling to look great. Here are some top styling tips to give you short hair that has style and panache!

Step 1: The cut

Just because you are a man, doesn't mean you shouldn't take pride in your hair, so don't be afraid to go to a proper salon, rather than a barbers. You'll get a great cut, that suits you and your life style rather than a generic 'back and sides'.

Step 2: Product

When you have your hair cut, make sure you enquire what product the hairdresser is using and how you can replicate the look at home. Whether you are after a gelled wet look, or stylish hold and shape with a wax, your hairdresser will find the right product for you

Step 3: Short and messy

Wash your hair and towel dry it. Skip the comb, and head straight for the Spice Neo styling wax. Work it into your fingers and rub them all over the dry hair. This will create a messy yet controlled look which works best on coarse hair, or hair that has been texturized with a razor when cut.
I would recommend you to try Spice Neo Fiber Wax

Step 4: Bed Head

If you are after the 'just got out of bed' look, try showering and applying your products before hitting the sack. This will give you genuine bed head style with no effort when you get up, although you may wish to bring the more wild parts under control with a dash of water and wax. Just make sure you keep your hair dry if you shower in the morning.

Step 5: The smart look

When you need to smarten up apply some mousse or wax when your hair is dry. Part to one side, and neatly comb it back. This works particularly well if you have a slight wave in your hair, and portrays a tailored, well groomed look. Afterwards, just ruffle your hair to return straight to a fun, tousled look.
